Christmas in review

Here we are, lined up and ready to go in the family room to see what Santa brought. I suggested that this year, we line up shortest to tallest, rather than youngest to oldest. Being the 2nd oldest but the 2nd shortest (one day sure to be the shortest) does have some advantages if you make them! Note the lump on the floor at the end of the line...poor Ryan was sick on Christmas. I think he would fall in line between Jordan and Bently in height these days.

Evidence that Santa has been here! An empty cookie plate and some snowy footprints...and even in Georgia, with a 65* Christmas, the snow doesn't melt. Talk about the magic of Christmas!

Family picture time!

No, there is not much explanation for this one... we usually do the picture taking ourselves with the camera on a tripod & the whole timer thing, and it has become a weird but fun tradition for at least a few of the pictures... everyone stands back behind the camera and then when the shutter button is pressed, everyone runs to the spot for the picture. It makes for some great real smiles and some pretty funny pictures too...like our whole family splatted on a brick wall.

And us kids on the playground...

Our trip to Georgia for Christmas was wonderful. Well, I take that back. Being there was wonderful. The trip there and back was awful, with cancelled and delayed flights, nearly missed connections, baggage that didn't make it to Atlanta, and all of that fun stuff. While there, we enjoyed being able to spend time with family and to just relax...sleeping in and taking a nap in the middle of the day, eating lots of goodies and leftovers, playing games, including, but not limited to, Disney Princess Memory Game with Amy about 202183 times, and a quick trip to Callaway Gardens. The weather was great...rainy a few days but in the 60's most of the time.
All in all, a great vacation!
