On Friday night we went up the canyon and had a little bonfire with Jordan and Shawn. We made hobo dinners (ok, we cheated and cooked them in the oven at home before we went and just re-heated them in the fire because they take too long in the fire) and then made s'mores. Yep, you guessed it: we used our awesome telescoping marshmallow roasting sticks. And it was awesome indeed. I could see the envy in the eyes of other s'more makers all around. We had a good system going---we'd put the chocolate on the grahm cracker on a board by the fire to get the chocolate nice and melty, then we'd roast the mallow and assemble the s'more. Anyway, we had fun and Jackson liked the fire and being outside. He was up past his bedtime and so when he was done, he was done. We donated our fire to some people next to us who were going to start their own pretty soon, and headed home. We're planning on going camping some time this summer and I'm excited about that :)

Cute post!
Those ARE pretty SPIFFY marshmallow roasting sticks--you're right!!
It looks like you had such a fun time together. It warms my heart. :)
Wish we could all do that together.
I'm glad you got to put your sticks to good use. And that's very kind of you to donate your fire.
i AM jealous of your little smore makers! you guys look so cute!!
Is it legal to have a fire in Mom and Dad's backyard? If so bring the roasting sticks up and we'll put them to the test. =)
I meant to say-- that certainly sounds like a Jack kind of idea for melting the chocolate so efficiently! :)
I miss Jackson, bring him back (when he's happy)!!!
I am so excited to go camping together. We have to figure out when!
