Testing Testing

This is a test. This is only a test. ...just rambling to fill space & test the new look.

I'm tired of the old blog look so I decided it's time for something new. Jack's gone on a bike ride with the scouts tonight, so I'm home alone and bored.

And our air conditioner must be broken. I tried to turn it on for the first time yesterday and it didn't do anything. At all. Well, it was blowing air, but not cold air. Yesterday was a record high for Utah, getting over 95*...highest temperature on this date in over 20 years. Perfect day to try out the AC. Ha. It was 87* in our apartment.

Does anyone know how to make the text block part of this (that is now brown) wider? I've been playing with the code to get all the other stuff how I want it (well, as much as I can figure out) but so far I haven't succeeded in making the text stuff wider. I got the text wider, but then it runs off the brown block.

I love the new blog look. I wish I could help you with the widening thing- you say the word "code" and I freak out. I know nothing.

Such a cute page. I liked the "old look" too, but you're right, it's fun to have a "new look". Wish I could help you out, but you're beyond me with even creating an original page. Teach me when I come in August if we're bored ;)

Nice new look. That's so sad about your A/C. When I was pregnant with Evan there were 10 days in a row over 100 degrees. We didn't have a swamp cooler, A/C, or anything. I thought I would die. I didn't obviously, but it was close.

I like the new look too. I looked into what it would take to change this particular template so that the main text field was wider and it looks like it would take more than just changing a setting or two, but it's totally possible. If you want any help with it, just let me know.

have you looked on http://sjhblogdesign.blogspot.com? that's where I learned how to do all that stuff. Her rules are really helpful and I remember her explaining how to mess with the width/margins, etc. It's toward the end. Let me know if that helps!

I like your new look; it's fun. You should have hung out with me as I was husband-less too. And A/C-less. Fans only help so much. One thing we learned that helps is to get dish towels wet and then sleep with them on top of you, while the fan is blowing on you. That does a pretty good job, until you wake up in the middle of the night and the towel is dry already.
