It has been sooo nice to have Natalie's mom stay with us since Jackson was born. Last Thursday Jordan and Shawn were married in the Mt Timpanogos Temple (more on that later), so it has come time for Mom & Dad West, Ryan and Amy to head back to Georgia. We were able to bless Jackson in Church yesterday before the Wests left. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures with our camera, so we'll have to wait till we get them grandmas and grandpas before we can post them.Keith and Ada Wilson (Natalie's uncle and aunt who live here in Orem) were very kind in allowing us to gather with family at their home following the blessing. We would have loved to have more of you there with us, but as we were relying upon the kindness of others, we decided not to bombard the Wilsons with all of our friends and additional family. We hope none of you are offended at not being invited to come. As it was, we had 36 people there just with immediate family. We wish could have invited many more, so maybe when we have a house and yard of our own we'll have the biggest shindig this side of the Mississippi and double that number. Of course, we'll have to have a pretty big place. Maybe we could just have the blessing and gathering in different sessions like they do with temple dedications. Thanks Keith and Ada for the use of your home. Thanks everyone who came for coming and bringing food.
It was a very humbling experience to give Jackson his first Priesthood blessing. Bro. Furr in our bishopric gave me some great advice before Sacrament Meeting started. He said to forget everyone in the congregation and in the circle and just focus on the triangle of me, Jackson, and the Lord. We feel so blessed to have this little boy in our home and to know that he is ours forever.
Pictures of the Blessing Day to come.

way to be seriously awesome, manfriend. like, in the most honorable, sacred, priesthood way. i like the idea of several "sessions" of the blessing. i thought about being offended, then i saw "shiny happy people" on your playlist and the pictures of jackson, and the offendedness was gone before it even started (literally).
you three shirtses are the best.
I emailed blessing pictures just now so you can post them. I missed Jackson (& you & Jack) before the airplane left the ground!! I know he's missing his grandma too ;)
I loved being able to be with you during these past 3 weeks. It's a special time that I will never forget! I wish I lived close enough to be able to give cuddles and kisses all the time. You have such a sweet family--I love you so much.
